Heating by electricity; resistance ovens.- Heating - elements C, Fig. 3, placed between ribs B secured to or integral with a heating- plate A. are covered by asbestos pads D and metal plates E, and are secured by metal bars F screwed to the ribs. The heaters may be attached to the inner walls of an oven with lagged outer walls, as shown in Fig. 1. The arrangement may be applied to drying-chambers, hot-plates, &c.
