Folding and collapsible seats; folding berths.-A seat or berth a, Fig. 1, for motor vehicles, ships, &c. is supported in the horizontal position by links b, d pivoted to the seat &c.and to a stationary part c of the vehicle &c. A rod e connects opposite links b together to prevent twisting, and, when in the horizontal position, the seat &c. abuts against a stop f. Fig. 5 shows an alternative arrangement of the links b, d.
