B u i l d i n g b l o c k s, special shapes of; flooring blocks and slabs. - The walls of hospitals, sanatoria, a n d other buildings are formed of interlocking base-blocks b, supporting - pillars consisting of grooved sectional blocks e, angle or corner blocks h, f, interlocking head-blocks k, and grooved slabs d. The base and corner blocks b, h are provided with i n t e r l o c k i n g tongues and grooves, and with inwardly-projecting flanges to support floor slabs a, the inner edges of which are grouted in recesses at the angles of the base - blocks. Grooved T - shaped blocks g are used in the wall for connecting cross-walls. The blocks are provided with holes to receive iron rods which are grouted in to tie the members together. Wall plates l are secured to the head-blocks by bolts grouted in holes k<2>.
