Abstract

Search-lights; vehicular and like lanterns.-The secondary parabolic mirror 3 or set of such mirrors is supported by a single substantial radial arm 5, which is flat in the transverse direction, and is removably secured to the door 4 or other removable part of the lantern. In the form shown, the arm 5 has a shoulder 5" and a spindle 5<a> for insertion in a hole in a block 7 fixed to the lantern door, and an eccentric lockiog-pin 9 is adapted to engage a recefls in the spindle 5<a> when turned by means of a handle 9'. The main reflector shown comprises a parabolic portion 1 and a spherical portion 2. Fig. 5 shows a set of secondary mirrors 3, 3' connected by radial arms 3".
