Pulley-tackle.-To prevent cabling or twisting of the falls when recovering them for lowering a second boat, each of the "parts" of the rope is rove through a vertical passage in a block A, which is attached to the upper fall block or the davit by a chain C. The block A is vertically divided into the parts d, e, f connected by through bolts g so that the tackle can be placed in the grooves before the side sections are attached, thus avoiding the necessity of roving the falls through the block. The central part of the block A receives the chain when this is coiled.
