Abstract
12,483. Kozlowski, W. May 28. Delivery, stopping.-A deliverystopping device for spinning and twisting machines having a guide along which the thread is drawn between the gripping - members is provided with means whereby the thread is automatically drawn on to the guide, after it is tied, by the tension imparted by the spindle. After the thread is tied and inserted in the eye of the threadguide lever, it is pulled taut by the spindle and engages one or the other of the inclined surfaces on a member 233, Fig. 1, and is thereby led between the gripping-surfaces 207, 208. The inclined surfaces may be formed in an opening in the movable gripping member, as shown at 217<a>, Fig. 5, the thread being passed by hand through the opening before it is tied and prevented from escaping from between the gripping-members by lateral parts of the frame 221. Bars or studs may be used instead of inclined surfaces and may abut against the frame of the machine. Specification 5152/12 is referred to.
