11,624. Cope, B. G. May 19. Cushions.-A cushion for seats &c. is formed of two complementary parts a, b detachably fastened together by press-buttons, straps, &c. c, d in such a manner that they may be secured together around the whole of their periphery, or along one side only, or so that they may be completely detached. Handles e, f are provided, one of which may be passed through the other. A pocket g may be provided in one of the cushions for carrying articles. A. third cushion h may be employed as a head-rest. The cushions are attached to a seat by straps fastened with buckles. The cushions may be made of leather, leather cloth, Willesden canvas, or other waterproof material, and may be stuffed with hair. down, felting, etc.; or they may be provided with removable stuffed or inflatable cushions which may be secured by snap fastenings.
