Spindle apparatus.-Springs a, adapted to grip the interior of the bobbins by centrifugal force, are arranged along the sides of, or in recesses in, the tubes of cap spindles and their lower ends project into a cavity h formed in or on the wharl. The lower ends of the springs may be weighted and they may be serrated in order more firmly to grip the bobbins and to prevent them from rising.
