Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring, and metal springs other than helical and volute springs.-Wheels or pulleys of the kind in which rim and hub members are separated by circular or annular springs, such as closelycoiled spiral springs 4, Fig. 1, are characterized by clamping the springs between diverging curved surfaces 3, 5, 11, 10. The clamping- members may have lateral flanges, and the bolts 7, 12 lie at the sides of the springs. A separate circular buffer spring 14 may be used, or the clamping-member 5, Fig. 3, may be made circular and enlarged to form a buffer.
