Bakers' ovens.-In an oven having top and bottom rows of stopped-end or closed-circuit heating-tubes with one end or part exposed to the fire, the tubes, as shown in Fig. 3, are arranged transversely to the path of the hot gases, which are drawn over the tubes d to the flue f and over the tubes c to the flue e, the flues e, f being provided with dampers g, h for controlling the heat to the top and bottom tubes. A damper k is provided in the main flue, and sliding dampers r, s are arranged in the front wall. A movable fire-block o and non-conducting box n isolate the furnace from the oven. A sheet-steel screen m is provided on the oven side of the box n.
