9249. Garrett, F., and Plane, M. G. April 19. Wheel-driving attachments. - The driven road wheels are connected to their driving- members, the axle 1 and a sleeve 11 respectively, .through dog clutches 8, 15, which allow ready removal of the wheels. Clearance is provided between the opposing faces of the clutch parts, and also. between the interior surfaces of the dogs and the recesses into which they fit, so as to allow some rocking movement of the wheels when the main bearings 16, 17 have become worn.
