Cutting-edges, treating.-A tool-holder for tool-grinding machines comprises a lever r carrying a tool box p adjustable on a guide d on the lever to determine the angle of grinding of the tool s. The lever is pivoted about a pinion f and rests on a table c, it is turned about the pivot to present the tool to the grinder, and is reciprocated by the action of the pinion upon a rack h in the eye of the lever, to carry the work across the disk. The pinion may be rotated for this purpose by means of a handle w and skew gears t; or the rod u may be threaded and engage a nut on the underside of the lever, so that rotation of the rod reciprocates the lever.
