Abstract

8199. Robinson, F. A. A. April 8. Trimming. - An inseam - trimming machine, having a circular knife 5 on the end of an inclined rotary adjustable shaft 4, is provided with a rotary work-guide 9, a rotary weltguide 10, and a rotary channel-guide 11. The guides are mounted upon a bracket 15 adjustably secured to the machine frame by screws 16. The guide disk 10 is rotatably supported on a rear extension 17 of the bracket 15, and the disk 9 is mounted on a carrier 20 pivoted at 21 to this extension and pressed forward by a flat spring. The channel roller 11 is carried on the end of a swing plate 24 pivoted to the bracket at 25 and drawn towards the other guides by a spring 26. A screw stop 27 limits the inward movement of this bracket. A guard plate 32 covers the exposed part of the cutter. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 18,849/09 and 24,665/10.
