3980. Willis, F. H. Feb. 17. Flooring and ceiling blocks. - Hollow floorhlocks adapted to carry reinforcing-bars in the joints are formed with a flat face 5 at one end, the other being bevelled at the sides 3, 4 and top edge 1. A groove 6 is also formed in the top edge, and the side walls are provided with flanges 7 and a lug 8. The blocks are laid with the flanges 7 and the ends touching, and the bars are supported by the sloping faces of the lugs 8. The top of the block is made sufficiently thick to act as the compression zone of the floor without a concrete covering.
