Venting-apparatus.-To prevent evaporation and deterioration of motor spirit &c., the ventilating-pipe h attached to the top of the tank is bent over and connected at its free end to a box a provided with a partition b with holes c and partitions d provided with light metal or mica flap valves e, f. These valves are normally closed, but when the tank is being filled or emptied (as shown) air can pass from or to the tank by the valve f or e respectively.
