Metallic-spring bodies and cores.-Curved strip springs B, Figs. 1 and 2, lying transversely so as to support the interior surface of a pneumatic - tyre outer cover A, are characterized by an inwardly-arched portion E at the base, held between clamping-rings F, G, on which rest saddle-pieces J, adjusted inwardly by radial bolts H. The springs and rings are arranged in sections; and each group of springs may consist of separate members or be formed from a helical coil. The interior of the tyre communicates with the atmosphere for cooling purposes, by tubes K fitted with gauze K<1>. Fig. 3.
