Abstract

Filters with horizontal filtering-partitions; strainers. -The apparatus comprises a cup-like container having inlet and outlet nipples a in line with a gauze or like filter or strainer d, the passages being inclined to communicate with the spaces on opposite sides of the gauze. The strainer rests on a ledge b and is held in position by a spring h, which bears against a bridge-piece f on the strainer and frame and against the screwed lid of the container. There is an aperture k for cleaning purposes, and lugs are provided on the outside of the casing so that it can be secured to any convenient surface.
