29,265. Zikmund, J. Dec. 19. Furniture, means to facilitate moving bodily. - A castor which may be rendered inoperative is fixed to a plate 13 hinged at 15 within a recess in the base of the furniture leg 1. A spring- controlled sliding plate 20 holds the castor in position. To lower the castor to the operative position, the plate 20 is moved to the right whereupon the castor falls by gravity, the bevelled edge 16 of the plate 13 abutting against a stop 7. The slide 20 is then returned to its normal position and rests above the plate 13, so locking it in position.
