[Addition to 17,305/09.] Locking nuts.-In an improved form of the nut-locking device described in the parent Specification, the threaded bush E is truncated at such a distance from the base that the truncating surfaces of the bush and the cavity are in contact as shown in Fig. 2 when the desired radial compression of the bush is obtained. Washers may be inserted in the cavity for adjustment. The bush is formed in one piece, split in one place, or in another form shown in Figs. 4 and 5 the bush is made up of separate segments E joined to a ring J forming a flange.
