Locking nuts and bolts.-A locknut 3, which is preferably a loose fit on the bolt 1, is provided with a projecting lug 6 on its underside to engage a nut 2 or other article through which the bolt passes. The nut 3, when screwed home, is tilted as shown in Fig. 2, and both the nut and the bolt are locked. The lug 6 is curved as shown in Fig. 3.
