27,969. Schiessler, J. Feb. 21. Telephones.-The diaphragm 8 of a telephone receiver is vibrated by the magnet 13 through the lever 6. The system is polarized by the permanent magnet 10. The sound - box 3 is provided with a rubber edge 5 to fit over the ear. The lever 6 may be attached directly to t h e core of the magnet, a disk being mounted on the end of the core.
