Abstract

26,910. Allcock, W. B. Nov. 22. Guards.-A guard particularly designed for use with milling-cutters, and of the type in which two guard wings are connected together at one edge by a hinge or equivalent device, is constructed with each guard wing in two parts relatively adjustable along the axis of the hinge. In the form shown, the guard wings are composed of telescopic bars C<2>, C', but these may be replaced by bars or plates sliding one over another. The hinge pins B<5> with fly-nuts B<7> are carried in slots in brackets B separately adjustable along the supporting-arm A.
