Abstract

25,597. Simons, T. J. Nov. 8. Cores; c o r e - b a r s ; moulds. - A collapsible core for use in casting projectiles &c. is carried by a base-plate I fitting the mould with a bayonet joint. Segmental plates A are held between grooves in the base and in a cap E screwed to a central tube cottered in the base. The central tube is surrounded by a second tube, and both h, tubes are perforated for venting or for cooling purposes. Two holes in the base r e c e i v e the ingate and vent tubes of the pouring-block.
