Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores; tyres with rims enclosing air tubes or chambers; tyre attachments to rims.-A hollow elastic tyre a (which may be inflated) is formed at each side with one or more beads 2, continuous or otherwise, which in running are compressed and rock about the side flanges 9 bolted to the felloe 4. Continuous rings 8, which may be integral with the flanges 9, may be fitted as shown. For additional security, metal segments 6 bolted to the felloe engage in grooves 5 in the tyre base. Twin tyres may be similarly constructed.
