Abstract

21,166. Shaw, H. S. Hele-. Sept. 17. Closets, disinfecting; closets, flushing.-A device for spraying a closet basin with liquid before use consists of a pump 7 in a reservoir 8 and connected to a sprayer 13 by a pipe 12 containing a check valve. When the seat is depressed, it presses down a knob 4 on a pistonrod 5 against the action of a spring 9. The piston is depressed and the basin is sprayed. The liquid used may be a disinfectant, preferably of a saponaceous kind. According to the Provisional Specification, the reservoir may be placed above the seat and a discharge valve or siphon may be operated by the seat or by a footboard.
