Abstract

19,935. Dixon, J. F. Sept. 2. Book &c. rests.-Foldable supports or stands for books consist of two flaps one of which is divided into sections 4, 5, 6, Fig. 1, by means of folds 1, 2 and is provided with an extension 7 for engagement with a pocket or. strap 9 on the other flap 8. The device may be folded to rest on the sections 4, 5, or on the section 6 with the sections 4, 5 folded inwardly. The pocket may be formed by lateral interengaging folding strips on the flap 8. In a modification the flaps are provided with interengaging extensions 5<a>, 5<b>, Fig. 6, or a separate piece is provided having means for engaging tongues or pockets on the flaps. According to the Provisional Specification, the flaps may form the covers of a book.
