Abstract
19,617. Jones, H. Sefton-, [Carrosserie van den Plas]. Aug. 27. Mud-guards.-A mud-guard, more particularly for the front wheels of motor-vehicles, has a side wall in part plane, as at b, and in part bulged, as at c, to permit of the angular movements of the wheels. The. body of the guard may be domed or flat, and the edge is incurved at and forms a roll around a stiffening- member. The lower portion of the inner wall is folded inwards horizontally at d to abut upon the chassis and to fill the space between the guard and the engine bonnet, and brackets e carry bolts to fit attachments secured to the side member of the chassis.
