Progressive evaporators; acids, concentrating. - Apparatus for concentrating sulphuric acid or other liquid comprises a heated inclined tube 1 having notched weirs 5, a preliminary heater in which the acid &c. flows through tubes 11, 10 and the vapour through an outer tube 8, and a cooler 15. The apparatus may work under reduced pressure.
