Abstract

19,412. Held, H. Oct. 13, 1911, [Convention date]. Strip and thin-plate springs.-Consists in supporting a bearing for a vertical spindle by two springs 6, 7, which allow the bearing to yield both radially and axially. The spring consists of annular disks with slots extending from the central openings. The inner edges of the disks are curved and engage a wedge-shaped portion 2 of the bearing 1. The springs 6, 7 are spaced by a ring 8, to which they may be secured by a frame 9.
