Springs, arrangement of and mounting bodies and undercarriages on; guiding vertical play.- A pneumatic cushion 15 is interposed between the stub axle 43 of a steering-wheel and the fixed axle 53. The stub axle is fixed to a vertical pin 42 sliding in the fixed axle. The pin 42 is formed with a saddle 16 carrying the pneumatic cushion 15 on which the fixed axle bears through a bush 52, a plate 49, straps 48, and a plate 47. A ball-bearing 50 between the bush 52 and the plate 49 allows the cushioning- means to swivel with the road wheel. A dustexcluding plate 32 carried by the stub axle slides against a plate 34 carried by the steering- connexion 41.
