18,491. Schneider, E. Aug. 12. Recoil, modifying, muzzle-attachments for. The invention comprises a number of metal disks a, which are carried by bolts d, Fig. 3, attached to a sleeve e on the gun-muzzle y, and are spaced either by separate distancepieces, or by projections b, c, Fig. 4, cast with the disks. The inner edges of the disks are coned as shown, the diameter of the orifice a<1> being progressively diminished from the gunmuzzle outwards. For guns of the kind having slots in the muzzle, the disks may partly surround the muzzle, so that the gases issuing through the slots must escape between the disks.
