Abstract

14,974. Oldham, R. C., and Skinner, S. T. June 27. Theatrical appliances.-Scene sections such as flats and wings are constructed so that the canvas can be readily attached and removed from the framework. The top and sides of the canvas 9 are formed with hems in which rods 10, 11 are inserted, so that the edges of the canvas can be turned over the framework and the rods engaged in grooves 2, 4 formed therein. The bottom of the canvas is wrapped round a bar 13 which fits in a recess in the bottom member 5. The parts are secured together by bolts 7. A section having a profiled extension is provided on the extension side with a batten having pins engaging holes in the adjacent frame member.
