Abstract

14,503. Neighbour, R. C., and Rowley, W. June 20. Mirrors.-A stand or support having an arm pivoted to a suitable base, as described in Specification 20,550/11, [Class 52(iii), Tables &c.], is adapted to support a mirror. The arm c is pivoted to the base a at a point remote from its front edge, while the mirror, mounted in a frame g, is pivoted to the arm by means of a projection h and a threaded bolt and tightening-nut i, so that it may be angularly adjusted. Fig. 3 shows the mirror, mounted on a spindle j, so that it can be moved in two planes at right-angles to one another, while Fig. 7 shows a modification of this mounting. The device may be used as a wall bracket by fixing the base a to a wall, in which case the projection b carrying the arm c may be secured to a rotatable member n as shown in Fig. 4. The base may be provided with one or more drawers, while the mirror may have hinged side extensions and may carry one or more shelves.
