Abstract
13,694. Smale, L. A., and Hartley, B. F. June 11. Reciprocating-mould-table machines.-A portable hand-power machine, for moulding concrete blocks &c. at the place of use, comprises a framework a mounted upon wheels u and provided with a platform b supporting rails c on which the mould o is run to and from the presser l, which is reciprocated by an eccentric f actuated by a band-wheel k through gearing j, g. The mould is of the type comprising a fixed back p carrying hinged ends q, and a turn-down front. The presser l is guided by pins working in a slotted standard m, and may be provided with a spring to prevent strain. Steps may be provided between the rails c to limit the movement of the mould, which may be provided with a removable base to prevent damage to the block.
