Abstract

10,307. Faulkner, F. G., [trading as Cadby & Sons, G.]. May 1. Ovens.-A cylindrical oven for use in lacquering, enamelling, drying, baking, &c. has rotatable shelves 29 carried by radial partitions 18 secured to a central rotatable shaft 14. The oven wall 1 has an opening 13, which may be fitted with doors, equal in width to the distance between the ends of adjacent partitions. The shaft 14 turns in top and bottom bearings 16, 17, and is preferably polygonal in section having a partition bolted to each face. The shelves are preferably carried on angle irons 20 secured to the partitions and may be perforated or made of woven wire. The heating means may comprise a steam coil 6, or gas burners, electric heaters &c. and a plate covered with asbestos or the like may be placed above the heating means adjacent to the bottom of the opening 13 to deflect heat from the open sector. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 716/96 and 14,701/00, [both in Class 34, Drying].
