Washing-machines with enclosed rotary receptacles and means for circulating liquids. - A washing- machine comprises a rotary foraminous receptacle c provided with vanes n against which jets of water from nozzles are projected so as to produce rotation and, at the same time to act on the contents of the receptacle. Streams of liquid are also introduced through axial pipes f, l. To dry the clothes and force out the obnoxious vapours fresh air may be blown in through a pipe o. The articles may be dried on an arrangement of hollow perforated rods mounted in the machine and supplied with warm air. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also the provision of a collecting-vessel for the water used in producing a vacuum in the receptacle for drying purposes, the water thus collected being used in substquent treatments. This subject - matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
