Fixing by screwed tangs with flange attachments. -The handles of brooms and brushes are fastened by a screw 6 carrying a plate 5 secured by screws 8 to the end of the handle 4. The head 7 of the screw is non-cylindrical and is riveted to the plate. The handle is then locked against rotation by driving in a nail or screw 9.
