Abstract

3495. Sellman, E. Feb. 12. Strengthened handles.-Aluminium handles for cooking and other utensils are strengthened by means of iron or steel. In the arrrangements shown in Figs. 2 and 3 the upper aluminium part b of the handle is strengthened by means of a piece c of tinned sheet iron or of stamped steel, preferably having one or more ribs d. The parts are secured by soldering, riveting, pressed joints, or otherwise. A hole e through the handle may be provided. In a modification, the aluminium portion is in the form of a sleeve around the iron portion.
