Handles; lids.- Beaded-edge handles are attached to the bodies or lids of hollow-ware, such as kettles or saucepans, without the use of rivets by passing the usual lugs B<1> at each end of the handle B through slots A<1>, and passing the wires C of the beaded edges through holes A'. The lugs are bent flat against the metal, and the wires may be similarly bent, or they may be bent round so that only the ends are in contact with the inner face of the article. The lugs and wires may be soldered in place.
