Purifiers.-A unit for a grid for supporting the purifying-material in gas-purifiers consists of uprights a carrying superposed bearers c, which in turn carry cross-bars b. The cross-bars are rigidly secured to the bearers in any suitable manner so that each unit forms an independent self-supporting structure. The crossbars of one set of bearers break joint with those of the next set, and the uprights of one unit are constructed so as to fit between those of the unit at its side.
