Abstract
380,746. Washing gases. ATELIERS J. HANREZ SOC. ANON., Monceau-sur- Sambre, and MODAVE, A., 994, ChaussÚe de Ninove, Brussels, both in Belgium. April 20, 1932, No. 11307. Convention date, March 17. [Class 55 (ii).] Gas is washed by passage between vertical elements of prismatic or polygonal form moistened by an exterior flowing liquid film, as described in Specification 277,281, [Class 55 (ii), Gas, manufacture &c.], and formed with channels b at the corners between the surfaces a. Either the channels or surfaces face the direction of gas flow, and both are irrigated. The elements have flat, concave or convex sides, are arranged in rows in staggered relationship, and are adjusted by an octagonal nut c at one end engaging a fixed member.
