2909. Lynde, F. C. Feb. 5. Lift valves; casings; outlets.-A hose-pipe valve, of the type that is closed by the water pressure and a spring when the hand of the user is removed from a press-button, is provided with a guard J and rubber rings H, H. A nozzle K is provided, which may be of soft rubber, or of rubber gradually diminishing in hardness towards its tip. The valve may be provided with a pilot valve A<2>, and the parts of the valve may be of vulcanite. A loop L is provided for suspension purposes.
