Abstract

2229. Stevens, W. H. Jan. 27. Collars, linen and like.-Soft collars are provided with loops 6 extending diagonally on the inside of the outer flap 2 from the lower edge to near the medial point of the front edge. The tie is passed through the loops, and when tightened tends to draw the ends of the outer flap downwardly and towards each other. An additional button 3 and hole 4 &,c. are provided at the top meeting edges of the inner neck-band 1. When the collar is to be used with bow ties, the front edges are cut away as shown at 7, Fig. 4. The loop 6 may consist of a tape; or the lining may be slit to form the loop.
