Abstract

191,136. Tatlow, T. Oct. 4, 1921. Pinch cocks. - A pinch cock having a soft rubber tube adapted to be pinched against the curved wall of its surrounding casing is fitted with a loose ball 6, between the actuating-screw and the tube 2. Hard rubber or vulcanite extensions 8 of the tube facilitate screwed connections to pipe lines. For flange connections the tube may have soft rubber flanges 18, Fig. 4, and in the case of a bib cock the tube 2 may extend beyond the bib or nozzle to protect the metal casing from contact with the liquid. The casing may be formed in symmetrical halves secured together by means of lugs 16 and bolts 17.
