29,369. Falkenberg, W. Dec. 30. Blowpipe burners ; vaporizing - apparatus. - Relates to burners for heating purposes, cooking, steam-boiler furnaces, &c., in which liquid fuel such as kerosene or other heavy oil is vaporized'and burned with steam generated by the burner. The burner 9 is mounted in the centre of a frame comprising tubular supports 1, 2, 3, 4 forming ducts for liquid fuel and water. The fuel enters by a tube 18, passes through a nozzle 19, the support 1, a vaporizing- ring 5, the support 3, and a tube 10, to the burner 9. The water entering at 21 passes through a nozzle 22, the support 2, a ring 6, in which it is converted, into steam, and thence through the support 4 and a tube 12 to a tube 11 within the burner tube 9. Partitions 16, 17, 20 in the tubes determine the direction of flow of the fuel and water. A disk 8 across the vaporizing-ring 5 conducts heat to the fuel, and may be used also as a starting-cup. The burner 9 is enclosed by an air-supply device consisting of two truncated cones 14, 15 connected at their common small base.
