Abstract

28,033. Ludlow, J. Dec. 13. Rests, arm.-A disappearing and adjustable arm-rest for railway-carriage and like seats comprises an arm-rest proper E, fixed to a bracket B and sliding block G, and held in position by a stay F, the end C of which engages slots D in the iron channelling A. Sufficient material is fixed to the upholstered arm-rest to cover the iron channelling in any position of the rest. When the rest is not in use, it is lowered under the seat cushion.
