27,839. Mallock, A. Dec. 11. Ear appliances.-Ear protectors for damping excessive sounds, of the type described in Specification 22,609/05 are provided on the ear tube with a sleeve 5 of rubber or like material and with means, such as the flanges 6, 7 on telescopic tubes which are adjustable by means of a screw 8, whereby the sleeve may be compressed longitudinally and thereby expanded in diameter to fit various ears. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the sleeve 5 is expanded by means of a spring 10.
