Specific-gravity estimating - apparatus. - Gas admitted to the cylinder C at 1 and escaping freely at 2, by pressing on the frictionless piston P causes it to rise or fall and actuate the pointer 4 to give a reading of its specificgravity. A bell in a liquid seal may replace the piston, and either may be connected to a valve to regulate the flow of the gas.
