A razor, particularly of the kind in which the blade has an oblique edge or converging edges and is adjustable in relation to a guard of corresponding shape, comprises a handle and integrally formed holder 1 in a groove of which a blade and guard are adjustably held by friction, slots 7 and 10 embracing a central guide 4 provided between the walls of the groove. In a modification, two grooves are provided, one for the guard and one for the blade. The guard 8 consists preferably of a flat piece of thin stiff pasteboard or other cheap material or of sheet metal, celluloid, ebonite, or the like. When the guard is removed, the blade may be sharpened in the holder, which is of a suitable shape to act as guide.
