Cleaning externally.-Relates to fuel-economizer tube-cleaners in which the motion of the scrapers is reversed automatically by a clutch c operated by a trip lever b moved by pivoted arms e. The arms e are provided with springs j which contact with the lever b. The recoil of the springs prevents the lever b from remaining at the dead centre, with the clutch out of engagement. In a modification, a pivoted member carried by each arm e is placed so as to prevent direct contact between the spring and the lever b. The arms e may be straight.
